Our Wedding

We met on the lacrosse field at CU Boulder (2009-2013)—SKOOO BUFFS! After college, we stayed in contact through mutual friends, and would often find ourselves joining in on the same skiing or hiking adventures! It wasn't until 2020, where I asked Cory for help with a tile project, where our relationship developed. Little did we know that this creative outlet would keep us connected for years. Frequent mountain adventures led to moving in together, adopting our 80 lb golden retriever, Bodie, and ultimately deciding to spend the rest of our lives together. We recently decided to move to Evergreen, CO, and it has truly transformed our lives; we are loving the mountain lifestyle and didn't waste anytime diving into various home projects. Outdoor adventures have also played a big role in our relationship, and we look forward to new experiences. We are excited for this next chapter in our life!

Get your blood pumping and some quick altitude acclimation with a group fitness event (Kara and Cory style). Select from an approximate 1-1/2 mile or 3 mile loop on the ski hill. Friday morning at 10:30AM on the Hyatt Lawn. If you aren't up for running or walking, join us on The Osprey Hotel for a picnic at 11:30AM (food and drinks will be provided). We encourage you to have some fun with your attire, costumes are recommended!

Gondola Ride to Wedding Deck for Ceremony

We are excited to be tying the knot at 10,000ft!Our ceremony will take place at the top of the Centennial chairlift/gondola (chondola). The Centennial chairlift will take you to Spruce Saddle lodge. From there it's a short walk to the Beaver Creek Wedding Deck, where the ceremony will take place. You will have a choice of an open chairlift seat to enjoy the mountain breeze or an enclosed gondola to protect your mountain-chic hairdo. We will provide everyone a chairlift pass for the day of the wedding. Your pass will be provided at the base of the gondola when you load. **Please note, it will take 30 mins to ride the Centennial chairlift up to Spruce Saddle Lodge and then a short walk to the Beaver Creek Wedding Deck.

The ceremony will commence at 3:00PM at The Beaver Creek Wedding Deck at the top of the Centennial lift. When you arrive at the top you will walk .25 miles down a groomed path to the wedding deck. While those stilettos look very cute, block heels may be a better choice:) A golf cart will be available for anyone who needs assistance.

Happy Hour at Beano's Cabin

Once the ceremony concludes, you will take the Centennial chairlift back down to the base of the ski resort, where a shuttle will be waiting to take you to Beano's Cabin. It is roughly a 10 min shuttle ride up the ski slope to Beano's Cabin. Happy hour will begin at 4:30PM.Plan on spending the rest of the night up at Beano's Cabin.

Dinner will be served at 6:00PM with dancing and celebrating to follow. Shuttles will be available to return back to the village base starting at 9:30PM. Last shuttle will return at 11:00PM. Please let us know if you require special accommodations.

Wedding Day Schedule

Colorado weather is unpredictable! We recommend you look at the weather ahead of time and pack accordingly. Afternoon showers are very common, we highly recommend you bring a jacket for the evening hours. Also, Beano's Cabin requires guest to wear shoes at all times. Ladies, please bring flats or flip flops if you don't want to be dancing in your heels all night.

Dessert will be served at the welcome party! We will have an ice cream sundae bar with warm cookies, ice cream and toppings! Therefore, we recommend you make a dinner reservation for Friday evening. We recommend going to an early dinner around 5/5:30 PM, so you can join us at the welcome party at 7:30 PM.

Beano's Cabin is located within the White River National Forest where smoking is prohibited in facilities. Smoking of any kind, including cigarettes and vaping, is not permitted in or around the ceremony site or venue.

We recommend flying into Denver on Thursday. Friday traffic can be hectic on Summer weekends. If you will be flying in Friday, we&nbsp;suggest you leave Denver at or before noon to miss the traffic.

Due to limited seating at Beano's cabin, we are having an adults-only celebration on June 28th. This includes the wedding ceremony and reception. We would love to celebrate with your kids on June 27th at the Tie-The-Knot Trot and welcome party, so please feel free to bring them along!

Beaver Creek Village is at 8,000ft and the wedding location will be at over 10,000ft. Staying well hydrated with lots of water and electrolytes will help make this adjustment easier. If you have not been to altitude before or worried about altitude sickness, we advise you consult your doctor prior to arriving in Denver. ﻿If coming from sea level, spending the first night in Denver (5,280ft) to adjust to the altitude prior to driving up to Avon can also make a big difference.

Denver International Airport (DIA) is 2 hours and 15 mins (without traffic) from Beaver Creek Resort. Eagle County Regional Airport is about 40 mins from Beaver Creek Resort. You can rent a car to get to and from the airports or you can schedule a shuttle like the one linked below. Check with your hotel for overnight parking fees.

If you are staying at a hotel within the village you don't need a car to attend any of the wedding events. You can walk or call the Village Connect for transportation to the Park Hyatt for the Welcome Party and to the Centennial lift for the ceremony. A shuttle has already been arranged to meet you at the base of the Centennial life to take you to Beano's Cabin for Happy Hour and the Reception.&nbsp;

Known as Village Connect, Beaver Creek Resort offers complimentary on-demand, shared shuttle services within Beaver Creek Village from 7:00am– 12:00am daily. Just outside of Denver you can attend a concert, enjoy a scenic drive, take a hike or explore this iconic venue!

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

On your way to the mountains, take a quick pit stop at the Buffalo Herd Overlook. Located just off I-70, take exit 254 (you will see the Buffalo Heard Overlook sign) to see the the herd roaming freely in their “natural” habitat. They aren’t always visible, as they roam freely within the large open space, so there's no guarantee they'll be out at all times. However, they are typically seen grazing or resting in the area, especially during warmer months.
